I think go with what your body tells you. I've cut out added sugars and mainly have oats, weetbix & rice as my carb source. Yes I'll have a piece of garlic bread but that's rare. I'm usually intentional about having my morning bowl of cereal but some days I just want eggs and will be fine with a salad&protein for lunch or dinner. There have been days when I get anxious and worry that I won't cope in my HIIT class but surprisingly I'd feel just fine having had no carbs that day. Our bodies are very different, in my experience I know when I have to up either protein or carb
