a year and a half ago i lost 35lbs (from 180 to 145, woohoo!). it felt so awesome. i remember checking my weight weekly and celebrating every time. i was on a 1500 calorie diet and working out almost daily to the firm 'transfirmer' tapes and step routine.

problems started when we went on vacation and i started getting lazy. the thing that set me off track was that i was still losing weight, but not dieting or working out anymore, something i can attribute now to my metabolism just kicking into overdrive. slowly i began gaining the weight back. starting on anti-depressants to regulate my mood swings took a huge toll on my energy level, making me want to come home and lay down every day after work.

well now i'm at my HIGHEST WEIGHT EVER!!! i just went up 2 pant sizes so i don't feel so self conscious. the pants i wore just were too tight sitting down at a computer all day, so 2 sizes up feels loose, but at least i'm not constantly tugging at them.

good things i'm doing include weighing myself regularly. i was so afraid of what the scale would say that i just never looked. i'm also joining a gym and planning on starting the south beach diet.

hopefully logging into this site every day and reading other people stories will help to keep me on track. thanks for listening!
