Most of what you'll lose is water weight. I also lost a lot during the first week, 12 lbs, but my pre-low-carb eating habits were insane. I've actually kept that 12 lbs. off, with the exception of a gain after eating too much cheese, but since then I've lost what was gained back and 3 more lbs. Continued luck to you!
