I couldn't stick to Atkins. I rebelled against it and binged on funyuns, white castle burgers and rice pudding.

This weekend, I also went to Burger King and had a whopper meal with onion rings. It was sooooooooooo good, but needless to say, even my once loose "fat girl pants" are now "fitted". I have a roll of grabbable fat hanging over my former loose pants, my behind is really wide, and my thighs, and myself in general, is just BIG.

Anyway, I have a coworker named Leslie who lost a ton of weight and now looks GREAT. Beyond great, AMAZING.

She told me she went to food addicts meetings and lost weight by sticking to a diet of no flour and no sugar.

So now she is my mentor, and whatever she eats, I eat. I encouraged her to start her own business, which she named Sugar Mouth meals. I am hopeful I'll see the same results! So far the meals seem VERY healthy. I'll document them as a I go along, and we'll see whether or not I lose weight.

You don't know unless you try, right? Well, I figure, what have I got to lose, except for a few pounds? (And that's the hope!)

Personally, as one who also has a problem with rebelling against resrictive diets, a diet that includes every food group, even junk food, works the best. it is all about portion control for me. I have been on every diet under the sun, and counting calories is the only method that works in the long run, for me personally. Sometimes what works for one person, will not work for you. Maybe this doiet will work for you, and I wish you luck, but keep in mind that if you are feeling deprived on a regular basis, you may need to try something else. I still have episodes of overeating, but they are much less frequent than they used to be. Hopefully I will eventually overcome them completely.

I don't really get it. Flour and sugar aren't allowed on Atkins either, so how is this different? I have a friend who does the food addicts diet and she has a mentor and everything, but she is also a professional in musical theater and is very active. She mostly does it so she can stay very regimented. You might want to try to figure out why you are bingeing and self-sabotaging before you try something just as restrictive. I hope you find your answers. Good luck.

Maybe its just the idea of being on a diet that makes you want to pig out more. Heres to cutting out flour and sugar. HeHe. Good Luck on your weight loss journey!
