** GOOD NEWS FOR YOUR "BAD FOOD DAY" **

Had a bad day and go over your calories?
Slightly over your carbs? WAY over your carbs?
Wondering what the true effects of a cheat day are?

This video should give you a lot of hope! You survived and your body will reset soon!

This woman has what some... okay MOST people would consider an INSANE cheat day... and she does them quite often with a lot of control while eating like she's never eaten a carb before! Nom nom nom!

This video is explaining the results of an 8000+ calorie (959g of carbs 😲) cheat day - "go big or go home", I guess...

She then goes on to break down what happens to her body in the days after - talking about bloating, hormones, blood sugar/pressure, fat gains, etc. that come along with over-indulging.

Also, it shows how water retention and most other factors are VERY temporary after a binge and why.

Check it out - it's not too long 😉:

Chrisw77, couldn't even get through the first five minutes. Her voice along with the food was making me ill. (This is the blonde eating at the glass coffee table, correct?)

Nope, Erquiaga. Hardly any visible eating and a whole lot of science.

I don't think so, that pic has been passed around for a while. He pretty much summarizes what others research. He compiles things from Lyle Mcdonald, Aragon etc.

The obesity epidemic started around the time the low fat guidelines started if remember correctly. It has gone up every since then.. and we all know it's not stopping anytime soon for anything. I work in a hospital and sometimes I move TONS of weight everyday (I need to move them to another table) it's sickening to see 20-30 year olds weighing 300-400 lbs..

Correlation does not equal causation. The reason the chart where people went low carb and despite that, obesity kept climbing was an example of correlation being irrelevant. Obesity is skyrocketing due to modern day conveniences including cheap highly easy to overeat foods(processed). I also blame Netflix, social media and the dollar menu, lol!

Listen to her videos again, and my take-away is how much she differs in her calculation of TEF. So, NOT a settled science at all. She gave TEF of protein at 35%, Layne gave it as 30%. She didn't differentiate between carbs and Fiber+NetCarbs, saying that carbs have a TEF of 15%, where Layne said Fiber has TEF of 30% and Other carbs is between 6-8%. She says that fat is same as carbs, at 15% but Layne said it was between 2-3%. Big differences.

Don't get me started on the dollar menu.. You don't want to see what I have put down on a late night. Buttt her (fat) gain came out very close to her math, and I not seeing this video did almost the exact same thing. Up one lb 3 days later. But who cares if you're never going to eat 8k calories for a good time 🤣😛

Listened to the one D mentioned as well, but I like numbers, so the first was better for me.

Yeah, Lzenn, I've never seen anyone claim that the TEF was that high for fat and carbs besides with her if true. I've always heard roughly 30% for protein and sub 10% for fat and carbs with carbs having a slight edge. I didn't watch it as recently as you, are you sure she didn't mean 15% was an average of total calorie intake? That would make more sense.

No, I wrote her formula down and double checked.

I mean I could have made a mistake, but I don't think I did.

I wonder if FS takes into consideration TEF when it calculates it's deficit. I haven't but FS is always so much closer, and the difference is about what I just calculated my TEF is for the day. Maybe a little more.

I thought NEAT would have been included as part of 'activity level' when you figure your RDI
10 oct. 18 par le membre: LZenn
Yeah NEAT is huge. It's why you can have a skinny person who works at a factory and an obese person who works at a desk job while eating the same amount of calories. It's the reason why I am either sitting on the stationary bike or standing while all my coworkers sit for 8 hours.

So you can eat more oreos? :)

What is NEAT
