Noise in apartment getting unbearable. My mom’s practically deaf & she can hear constant pounding from neighbors upstairs. She has anxiety issues so now this has her in state of stress. Don’t know how we’re going to afford it but we’re going to have to move. Makes me sad. Dropping weight is somewhat attributed to fact that I’m exhausted & depressed from situation. We’ve complained repeatedly but nothing’s being done by landlord. Even if they put down rugs the pounding is on walls not just floors. Going to have to look on bright side each day & stay positive. Thanks FS community.

So sorry to hear of the apartment troubles... Is there any rules for noise where you live? Here in the UK there are noise laws, so you cannot start making noise before a certain time in the morning, nor after a certain time at night... if there's anyone repeatedly ignoring that, you are can complain to the local council. Hope everything gets sorted out. (((((hugs)))))

In Russia, such problems are settled very quickly :))) Without the police and without public advice. We have a very convincing "conversation" with a person who disturbs the peace of the residents, and the problem instantly disappears :)))

Thank you so much for your support! I haven’t been on line because I was at a work meeting for couple days & got some perspective (& sleep). New people are just too combative that we’re exhausted from stress & toxic environment. Ironically a move would be better for mom & I to start preparing for her end of life plan. I feel committed to make the change.
