I have been working out a ton lately. I've been working out as hard as rockstars party. I have finally gotten to a point in my life where I'm not so lazy and actually enjoy exercise. I'm a slightly competitive person and have been really getting into challenging myself physically. One of my jobs is at a fitness facility for women and while I like the workout there, it doesn't exactly get my endorphins or heart pumping. I do want to mention that this facility has its place and can benefit many people, but it isn't for me. I go to a bigger, fancier gym (although I wouldn't exactly call it big or fancy) when I'm not working to get my "real workout." I find that these days I'm only satisfied by intense workouts that kick my ass and make me proud to have completed them. This week my favorite thing to do has been to get on the treadmill, set the incline all the way up, and crank the speed up as fast as I can manage until I'm afraid I might fall off. I follow that with weights and some core work. I've also been getting into kickboxing and testing out a bunch of variations of circuit and interval training. I'm always doing different things when I work out, mostly so I don't get bored, but also to make sure I workout as much of my body as possible. I used to hate exercise and I'm not sure what happened to change that, but I'm glad that it did! Working out makes me feel so much better! I've really toned up and make a habit of inviting people to my gun show, but I'm still carrying around quite a bit of excess body fat. Oh well, I'm working on it.

I found a way to enjoy exercise too. For me it was having to go months without it, then when I was able to go back to the gym I realized it was a priviledge to be able to go. It is more fun now than ever. Thank you for the reminder, though, when I don't feel well I sometimes forget how great it can make me feel. :)
