i'm not getting anywhere because of the weekends.i do not have enough self control to not go out with my boyfriend and partake in drinking.alcohol causes me to stop losing on atkins and i always have to start over.i don't want to be on a diet forever or induction forever.i'm really struggling with this.i wish my boyfriend would give me a break and just stay home with me some weekends and just be supportive.i don't want to be home all weekend by myself while he is out having fun without me.its really kindof sad.

Beer is my biggest downfall ( I just really enjoy drinking beer ) and it being football season it has been really hard to keep my everything in check. So I can relate to the partaking in alcohol. It is very hard to get support from a boyfriend when it comes to dieting. I have been dieting for 4 years and beg and beg my husband to help and be supportive but I finally just gave up, I got to do this on my own. And it sucks because he can eat/drink whatever he wants and it still thin. Just keep at it, and remember you if you are having problems keeping your carbs. in check you can always switch to a low cal. diet. Whatever your more comfortable with.

Dieting sucks, doesn't it? But the brutal truth is that losing the weight is only half the battle. Keeping it off is the other half. So I know I will forever have to watch what I eat. We can have days where we eat a little more, but for the most part, I know I will have to eat moderately. Being fat is hard and dieting is hard. You just have to pick your "hard". It's worth it to look and feel good, so get moving.

I can relate to GUITARGIRL2. Football season is here and I miss watching the games at the bar with my guy. I KNOW for a fact that I have no self-control, so we stay at home and watch the games together. It's cozy, exciting and romantic.We turn off our phones, and it's just "our" time together. Simply ask your boyfriend if he can do at least 1 weekend day with you as "date night" and be supportive of your efforts. Make it better for him to be with you than at the bar with friends (wink).. It takes at least 3 months for your Atkins lifestyle change to become a habit and be second nature. Good luck and hang tough.
