Journal de time4achange, 22 avr. 08

I really need to start taking this more seriously. I was doing so well when I started out. Now I know I am consuming too much dairy, not exercising enough.. arrgh. Seems like I am running out of steam. Wish I could find my motivation again. I want to be happy w. my weight so badly and to feel good about myself. I no longer want to be "obese" or have to shop plus size. I don't want to be uncomfortable all summer b.c of my weight or b.c of the fact I refuse to wear shorts or tank tops. I refuse to be at risk for diabetes or heart disease any longer.

Food no longer consumes my thoughts, which is amazing all in itself. There is no constant snacking or lingering glances in the fridge anymore. *sigh* I just need to really step up. Sorry this journal was total ramblings, but sometimes I just need to get it out to figure out how to resolve my issues.

I felt the very same way ... just last week! You know, sometimes.. we just have to say YES, I'm gonna do this and NO, I won't mess up.. and there isn't an easy way around it, it is very hard but if you just force yourself to make it through the first couple days.. it gets easier, I said easier, NOT EASY, lol... Although, Atkins isn't "hard".. but learning to live w/out processed junk foods and stuff IS hard at first. Trial and Error I guess. I wish you lots of luck!! =D

You have done so well so far. It is normal to go through moments of lost motivation, but stick to it through this rough part and it will pass. I too enjoy not having constant cravings and constant preoccupation with food. It is quite liberating. You'll get you're groove back. Hang in there.

Thank you guys. It really is an amazing feeling to be able to openly share your feelings w. other pple who have food and weight issues. Reassuring to know one is not alone.

awww, its not 'total rambling' sweetie. Wow, your statement are so powerful and inspiring. and look how much you have improved. Like you said, no more constant, needless snacking lol We all have these little bumps along the way. I can totally relate to ya. I get very frustrated with myself for not losing any weight, hitting a dead spot, and I have thought about giving up. BUT DONT! haha its going to be okay

Oh - those aren't just ramblings, they're sound bytes from your brain! And you know that sound bytes are only PART of the story. The most important part is that your life is changing in positive ways! That's amazing! Keep going! You really are doing great. Plus, I'm selfish and I like to read your journals, so I would miss you if you gave up!!!
