I don't even get how you can be in 35,000 to 40,000 cal deficit and not lose any weight. Hmm. Its suspicious. I'm really not too sure. Anyway back to some more tennis now the evenings aren't so dark. And I think I'll sign up to some Thai Bo class or something to get energy up. But seriously, its tough, sticking with this and not seeing anything happen. I think from last weight I'm up about 5lbs. How can it bounce around so much lol. This is just desperate by way of progress.

That’s because u complicate things way too much

How do u know u are on a x amount of a deficit ? Just cause a machine tells u, how accurate are those things are ? 100%? 80%? 67%? 40%?

This is why I don't like to log my "calories burned" through exercise.

For me, I simply looked at my macros during the times I DO lose weight and my macros during the time I don't lose weight. For me, I found that the 'math' of "just reducing calories" does not work, but, reducing my carbs and protein does work. Let's assume my metabolism slows when I reduce calories, so I am really not in a deficit? The end result is that continually reducing my calories still-is-not-working - - Good Luck!

I invested $70 and got a myzone monitor. It measures heart rate and calculates calorie burn better than the farsecret calculator. I weigh 165, and the myzone monitor gives me a daily burn of 1250 base line for sleeping, desk work and resting. U get 300 calories per hour of weight lifting and 400 calories per hour for moderate calistenics. So, my calories for your day today would be 1950. Also, do you weigh your food or just estimating? If I don't weigh I am bad at estimating. Good luck.

What I have also found in looking at my numbers: "Weight gained from high carb days requires multiple low carb days to get back to 'even'". Meaning, I need to minimize my 'high carb/high protein" days (I care about protein too because my body can turn excess protein into glucose). The months I had the highest weight loss were the months that I had the fewest 'high carb days'. Again, for me, if I pack on a lot of fat, I have to have a bunch of 'low carb days' (like 3-4) before I start 'really burning' that fat. So I can't just look at my 'monthly averages", I have to look at 3 and 7 day 'running averages'. For me, I see that the 'high carb days' are my problem. This week and next week I plan to have only 1 'high carb day' (I NEED at least one a week to not have 'mental stress'). I will see if that helps me.

Also, people will constantly tell you that the problem is *YOU*. *YOU*are actually eating more than you say in your log, *YOU*are really not burning as many calories as you think. Basically, you can't lose weight because *YOU* are "LAZY/Not Dedicated/Lying to yourself". - - Well, I can't stop being "Me". So, what am I suppose to do? - - The good news is that *YOU* have periods where you have 'true net loss'. What I do is look at those periods and see what works for me and just do that. That allows me to continue to just me "Me" yet get the results I desire.

@Rosio, FatSecret automatically calculates monthly calories burned and consumed in the monthly diet calendar view for users who either log their daily activities or sync FS to a FitBit or other fitness device. Without doing any complicated calculations, @Bandrai has discovered that FatSecret's numbers might not be that accurate. (On the other hand, I have my basic FitBit synced with FS, and that seems to be fairly accurate for me in terms of how it correlates with my weight over time.)

Nothing about FS is completely accurate. I would use it as a loose guideline only. Definitely not gospel.

Nope, just one data point, Rosio! I'm down 59 pounds based on effort, but the FS & FitBit CICO data have tracked pretty well with my results over time. It's actually quite helpful to see on a daily basis how intake compares with output and how that balances out over the week/month. It helps with mindfulness and making course corrections.

Anyone can lose weight
10 mars 19 par le membre: rosio19
This is only the beginning
10 mars 19 par le membre: rosio19
Lose the weight, do maintenance and then come n talk to me about fit bits
10 mars 19 par le membre: rosio19
You simply have not been in a deficit. Overestimating activity, underestimating intake or a combination.

So, buy a fitbit? Stop eating? Both?!?
