I hope the rest of this day is better than the beginning....
I woke up at 4:30, got out of bed at 5:00. I went ahead and weighed, it was only down a tiny bit but it's the first movement in days so I'll take it.
I was so hungry, and obviously not thinking clearly as I went right for the ice cream! AHH..but do not fear, I came to my senses in time. I had some ice cream, 1 precisely measured tablespoon to be exact, followed by 1/2 cup of raw brocolli, 1 stalk celery and 5 grapes. About the weirdest breakfast ever, but it worked, along with a pot of coffee, lol.
Anyway that wasn't the bad part of my entirely too early morning.
My husband woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and started complaining about one thing after another, about how hard he works, how much bills are, how he hates living here, etc ETC Blah blah BLAH and I am ungrateful, spoiled, yadda yadda yadda. I pretty much was just saying things like, "what is the matter?" annd "what did I do to make you mad?" over and over. I did not start the arguement in any way. I don't even know if you could call it an arguement as it takes two to argue. More like me listening to a crazy person yell.
I know he just gets stressed and takes it out on me, but I feel like he just has no clue what I go through as a stay at home mom either. Where did I sign up for getting yelled at at 6:00 in the morning because he can't find his wallet? It just was so out of the blue. I wish he would talk about things when they are bothering him insted of holding it all inside for a long time until he just explodes.
But we've been married 6 years almost so I am used to it.
I used to always end up in tears(and devouring everything in the refrigerator), but the scenario is so predictable, I now know to just try not to say much and wait out the storm.
Not a great way to start the day though.
Well, I am going to try to have a good day anyway. Why should I let him make me have a bad one? Wish I would have got more sleep, but oh well. Hope ya'lls mornings are better!

Dear Lotus, Sounds like your hubby is under lots of stress and taking out on you. guess we all do that, even tho not fair. You can let this really get to you, affect your whole day and what you eat, or you can "tune out" his tirades and think of yourself and what you need to keep going. In the long run, it's your decision as to how you handle, you can not retaliate with smart responses and merely smile and ignore! Remember, you are concerned with your health and self esteem first. Keep going girl!

Know what makes everything all better?? Low fat brownies!! :) I made a batch from a mix with prune puree instead of oil, strong coffe instead of water, egg whites, with one extra white than the box called for, and a packet of instant chocolate pudding. YUM!! 165 calories for 1/16 of recipe, and those are big peices. I ate 450 calories worth though..ooopppss!! It was worth it. Hopefully I won't need much to eat the rest of the day, LOL!!

"step away from the brownies..." lmao! Exactly! I can understand about the wild tyranny raids. My hubby too, yes... has had his "tiffs" about not being to find his wallet, keys, shoes, belt... you name it, .. it's a good thing his head is attached! It is usually more stress than really about us. I used to have horrible worrisome days and he'd come home right as rain as if nothing ever happened! The best I can say is to suggest that he have a basket to put just his wallet and keys into every night and help him to be organized the night before to avoid the insanity at 6am. Other than that, just letting them get out the door and forgetting about it, is the best you can do! lol I'd eat way too many of them brownies if I made them, but they do sound good! Keep up the good work! :)
