I am on a mission to de-clutter my house. I have been hanging on to so many things from my kids. I have a friend coming over to go through the baby clothes for her baby. I have huge bins full of clothes. I am 99% sure we are done having babies so if for some reason we change our minds, I will have to buy all new clothes, fine by me!! My 5 year old and I cleaned out her room and bagged up old toys to give to Goodwill. Took us 3 hours to go through everything. Little did I know she had been stuffing everything under the sun, UNDER her bed!! She said "oh, I did that when I was just a little 4 year old girl, now I am 5, I don't do that anymore!" funny. So grown up now that she is 5. Anyway. Getting rid of things feels great. Not that I am a clutter bug, I just hang on the clothes forever! I am actually bad about throwing things out without really thinking about it. FYI, anyone who needs to get rid of things, without selling them, you should check out www.freecycle.org You sign up for your area and list things to give away, helps people in need and just in general helps the environment by passing something on that you may not need, but someone else may be able to use.
