Journal de Ms Cornwall, 20 juin 19

I feel terrible!! I am exhausted. It is a clear example of how the food I eat affects me - and I am very sugar sensitive. This week in trying to break my three week plateau, my diet is viciously horrible!! I am eating badly, too little, too much (yesterday I ate almost DOUBLE my calories, but it was all RUBBISH.) I have a had can of coke for lunch during the week too much cake and sugary things. I don't know (or care) what the scale will say on Saturday, but this is definitely NOT the way to eat. I was even too tired last night to walk my dog (first time ever!), my husband had to do it on his own and I went to bed TWO hours earlier than normal. Bad choices have severe consequences for me. :(

I always end up "yoyo" dieting, please don't beat yourself up. I believe as long as you take it in your stride and be patient with yourself... all your healthy days do add up and do help. Try try and try again and it will become a habit. This week I have eaten really healthy so I'm lucky. Don't be to hard on yourself. the longer you keep trying to be healthy the less binge days you will have. if not maybe try the 12 hour cheat rule once a week. write everything you crave in a little book and tell yourself on "x" day you gonna eat it all. eventually when you reach that day you won't even eat half of what you wrote down but still have your coke, sweets, pizza etc. just be patient with yourself and remember all the healthy food adds up. if you beat yourself up to much the binging and lack of motivation will just get worse. Enjoy the binge and move forward to packing healthy lunch for the next day.

@Cupcake8677 It is scary what bad eating does to you. The extra weight, physically feeling rotten... I am thankful to folks like you who help us all struggle together: thank you.

@Zgim Thank you for the brilliant tip!! I love the 12 hour cheat rule and am definitely going to use it. My bad diet this week is deliberate. I am on a plateau which I can not break and I thought some days of sugar and rubbish would move the scale in any direction. I will know the result tomorrow, but doing this is a very bad idea. I feel terrible with very low energy. Next time I hit a plateau I will try fasting, because this bad eating is self-torture. I hope not to yoyo diet. This is my first serious diet and I am determined to slowly lose the weight and keep it off. Good luck with your diet and thank you so very much for caring and the motivation given - and yes, it is as of today where I eat healthy again. Let's do this together!!

@MsCornwall I tried eating sweet sugary things after being on Keto for 3 months and I got nauseous! So yeah, I also learnt the hard way what bad eating does to the body. And I had such a sweet tooth before! Plateaus are the Pits!!! But let us know if this never to be repeated experiment (😂🙈) worked to shift the plateau. All the best🙌🏾

Thank you Gqibelo :) Yes, like you I found out that sugar was a BAD idea!! Not ever doing that again. Lesson learned after earning a gold medal for stupidity this week :) (I don't have a sweet tooth, I have massive sugar vampire FANGS!!) Only shifted by 0.5kg down,, but it was A VERY BAD and STUPID idea to do it. I won't ever again. Good luck with your own journey and thank you for letting me know your experience too. :)
