There are many who continue to see Keto as one more diet, but every day there is more information about the health benefits we get simply by decreasing our carb intake. 😁

If only people could learn earlier in life that overeating is not a good thing. Portion control and moderation allows people to eat and enjoy all foods and food groups and benefit from the nutritional that a variety of foods have to offer. All carbs are not equal. — a donut is not nutritionally equal to fruits and vegetables.

That "agreement" was in response to bevigaby's last comment. One of the things about portion control, for me, is that I never did learn it as a child. As I've said elsewhere, I come from a long line of "big eaters." At my private, CAtholic, girls' college-prep high school (1967-1971), they didn't offer "home ec" or the same "health" class curriculum in public schools. I know it's different there today, thank goodness!

Oh yeah i wanted to read that Minger book. I forgot. Thanks for that nice reminder. They talked to a religion professor about diets. That is interesting. But almost a bit shallow.

It does t matter if you didn’t learn portion control as a child. Forget that. It was long ago. As an adult you can CHOOSE to learn portion control NOW. We all have childhood baggage. Don’t keep carrying it around. Set it down— give it to God to carry.
