I am really contemplating saving money and going to the weight loss clinic. No matter how hard I try I can't seem to get these cravings under control. I know as a woman we go through this every month, but this is just too much. My aunt say "we baby you know we only get one good week out of the month..." and ever since she said that to me it seems to be true. One week I'm moody, the next week I'm hungry and hungrier, the following week "Aunt Flow" or "Mary" comes in town for a visit and then we they leave I'm ok. I have gone to the doctor before to hwlp me lose weight and it really did work, but after my budget for the doctor ran out that's when something happened that sent me back to eating emotionally. My muse usedto be writing when i was going through things, now my muse is food. But only when i am sad or upset, when I am happy and doing something that makes me happy I don't think about food like that. There are certain areas in my life that oi can't do anything about right now and i wish I could because they are causing me a lot of grief, but I know that God will wotk it out and this too shall pass. Happy Monday! I hope that you are able to take the path that works for you. I LOVE to snack, so I've just started keeping healthier snacks around and when I feel a craving I go for those healthly choices (boiled eggs, nuts, baby carrots). When I can't resist the sweets or chips I read the label, get a bowl and limit myself to 1 serving. You will find a way that works for you. Through God all things are possible!

Things will get better for you. God doesn't ever give us more than we can handle. Sometimes it feels as though HE does but HE does have reasons for what HE gives us. You will get through this just fine. There are lots of snacks that you can have around you that are healthy for you to turn to when you need to, just remember make the healthier choice and moderation is really the key. I hope things get better for you. We are here for you if you need us!

Amen BeautiBabe! There's a reason for the craziness that we go through sometimes...to God be the glory. You can do this! I'm just coming back through a 2-month long struggle and weight gain after losing nearly 50lbs. Needless to say, I was down. I'm back up 19lbs, BUT God is greater! We all can do this! I like TauchaMonique's approach...if you must take one serving in a bowl and savor it slowly. You can do this with or without a pocket-draining doctor. :-)

THIS TO SHALL PASS... AND HE DOESN'T GIVE YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE... I'm not sure what you are trying but what I have noticed with all of my confusion and new role as a mother, is that drinking water (which i can't stand) and walking/with the stroller (some type of exercise) and the main one that is extremely hard is not eating after 7-8pm, along with staying within the RDI.. the lbs will come off (slowly) but will come off.. I know what you may be talking about with the doctor ( I call it the magic pill) and I have done it that way, but the weight still comes back when you stop... I recommend, really sticking to you guns, take all the stress and use it to focus on you! Love you first! As for the snacks drink water and get the 100 cal stuff so you can stay within ya RDI range and satisfy the cravings..Girl I looked at regular cookies at BJ'S from the bakery, almost passed out.. wasn't worth the temptation. Well keep strong, and as the other ladies said.. We R here!

Yes, you can do it! It can be so hard sometimes, can't it? If you will just stick with it, you will lose weight. Use the tools that you have learned thus far. As for the only 1 good week, onbly you can change that. It all starts in your head and your heart. When you feel yourself getting moody, talk to you, and tell you that you are going to be happy, because only you have the power to make you happy, and believe it or not, it is 99% attitude! When you feel hungrier and hungrier, drink a big glass of water and eat something that you can have that isn't going to mess up what you are doing, and only have a single serving. If you are still hungry, go for a walk and talk with God. Ask Him to give you the strength to resist the temptations that you are facing. And journal, journal, journal. It will help, believe me. I know that you can do this. We are all pulling for you, praying for you, and are here to help if you need us!! Keep your chin up, it'll get better!!

OMG, I started out not having anyone to talk to about what and how I was feeling, and then I found this site. Thank God and I thank God for you all. This is not an easy thing, but for me it has never been this hard to lose the weight. But at the same time back then I also could never understand how people allowed themselves to gain so much weight and i had vowed never to be that way, but how can I love and encouraged all types of people if I don't struggle with it myself. In a sense it is like some one trying to counsel a drug addict having never been one themselves. You can never fully understand what some one else has been through until you walk the same road they have walked. I have learned a lot about myself and other people as well during this battle, and the best part is the war is already won. I thank all of you for your encourging words. I hold really hold them dear. I decided not to go to the doctor, that money can be better spent on something for me and my children. i will contiune to journalize and purchase snacks that are healthier for me. and i will not give in so easily to the cravings monster. There is a picture with a woman on it and it says " Food has replaced sex in my life so now I can't get into my own pants" I laughed so hard everytime I read it, but today i will not let food rule my life in that way anymore.
