Running- How do you get into it?! I went to a path in the woods with shades, with music, light clothes and Id run for like a min, catch my breath for like 10 then do it again, did this I think for like a mile (like 3-4 mins run in)...but didnt do it for the mile back because I was getting pains in my side and felt like I couldve crapped myself!! As soon as I got in my car and sat down n calmed down it went away...JEEZ!!! How did you guys build up to it?

Try the Couch to 5k program www.c25k.com - it has a nice timeline of when to run and what distance to do to work up to 3 miles. I'm a little more than halfway through and it's working great so far!

just start out with a brisk walk for a warm-up about five minutes and then switch into a slow-paced jog and do that for as long as you can. as long as you keep the slow-paced jog you should be able to go for more than one minute and just slowly build it up and push yourself to go a little longer each time. at least that's how i did it and i'm up to about 33 minutes of jogging time. best of luck!
