This is my first journal entry, so it will be a little random. :)
I came across FatSecret on my Android phone. So far, I am excited about it! I have always hated having to keep a journal of what I eat and how I exercise. Writing everything down can be a huge pain in the buttocks! I love the app on my phone because I can scan the barcodes of everything I eat and compile entire meals so that I don't have to track each ingredient separately. The alst couple days have been pretty awesome so far.
Losing weight, as most people know, is not always easy, especially when you lead a largely sedentary life. I work at a desk all day and read all the time. I do not very often do anything physical. I am slowly changing that. I have set a challenge for myself to drop to 199 lbs before buying a Wii, which I have been told is so active that you can get good exercise with some of the more energetic "games". My second goal is to reach 180 lbs by 12/31/2010. If you asked me a month ago if I thought these goals were attainable, I would certainly have said no. I have, however, seen lbs slowly melting away and have found energy I can't remember having since I was a child. I am looking at my goals now and thinking, "What goals can I set once I reach these goals?"
So onward to a healthier weight and a healthier life. :)
