Well, I didn't have the spaghetti on a stick. Frankly, I believe the tales of its actual exhistence have been highly exaggerated. I have friends that SWEAR they had it. But I don't know if I believe them....
But....if you will notice the picture....Rick Springfield was AWESOME. Somehow I was transposed to the 80s, became an instant groopie and had, I'm not kidding, probably the best time of my life. (It may have something to do with the several vodka and crystal lights I drank before the show) And for those of you who question how very cool I was, I want you to know that in that picture HE IS WEARING MY HAT!!!!
Yes, it's true. We were so cool that he took the hat right out of my sister's hand (it was mine), put it on, danced around and then threw it back to her. I thought I might pee my pants.
I think my sister and I had more fun that about anyone else there. In fact, after the show we were like celebrities. People were inviting us for drinks and saying, "We saw you there!" How could they have missed us? We were the coolest people there!!! (It also helps that we were the only ones in the whole grandstand that had cowboy hats on!) In fact, I can't even believe I had that much fun.
There is no doubt that I danced and sang that corndog out of me. If I only could get that much exercise every time I cheat!!!
Anyway, I hope everyone else had a great weekend, too. I'll be reading journals into the wee hours of the morning tonight!
