Deadlifts: 125 x 6, 145 X 6, 170 X 5.
Bench Presses 95, 105. Then Hoist press machine L.7 X 6, L. 8 X 3.
Asst Pull-up: 80, 70, 60 (would have failed on rep. 7). Then lat machine w/ 25, then 50 lb of plates.
Press 50, 60, then press machine 50, 55. Then one set dumbbell standing press 20. L. shoulder still an issue.

I've become more concerned about my blood glucose level. A test from two months ago had me at 126 mg/dL. In other words, diabetes - although at the minimal level; 100 to 125 is "pre-diabetes." I've taken a new blood test, but my doctor is away till 2.24, so I won't get the results till then - just my luck. This study I've just stumbled upon says that weight loss through both diet AND exercise is the key to reversing this bad situation: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3835728/

The subjects of the study of "older" people (I qualify there) were different from me in three ways: they were frail (I'm not); they were obese as measured by their BMI (they were > 30; I'm merely "overweight" at 26.9); and they were not diabetic (i.e. they were below the crucial 126 mark). Nevertheless, the ones who lost weight by diet and exercise COMBINED lowered their insulin resistance level dramatically. Those who lost via diet or exercise alone - not so much. I have no reason to think that my body would react differently from theirs.

Moral of this story: the combination of strength and cardio training that I've undertaken for last two months is over for the time being. I'm going to emphasize cardio and diet till I get under 200 lbs.
