Hoping all will be well with you. I wish there were more testing available.

Call your county health office and let them know he's out and about.

I feel like he should have been arrested. In my state they are arresting quarantine breakers and these are folks who aren't even positive. If you come to Hawaii automatic 14 day quarantine. You get caught out they arrest you. I believe in public safety. If your contagious you can kill people. Your rights go out the window when your potentially harming others, and although your chance of contracting is low, you don't have to be symptomatic to be positive and transmitting the disease. sorry for my rant but so many states have this all wrong.

The county nurse said she would deal with him. I pray they do

I feel like you should also document this encounter in case you need to take legal action against him at some point. Just my two cents, worth about that much.

👋🏼Aloha, Deborah. Sgalll's comments are correct. Quarantine requirements are taken seriously and strictly enforced here in Paradise. Our State and City governments are pretty much in lock step and the person you encountered would have likely been arrested. I'm so sorry you had to go through such an unsettling experience.

The test only shows whether you currently have the virus with or without symptoms. Having a test just a day or so after a casual encounter would be pointless. If you want the test done talk to the health department about the appropriate timing. . There is such a shortage of testing kits. My sister went from negative to positive in 4 days but they were sharing a rehab hospital room.

unfortunately this total disregard of others seems to be the norm for many of this entitled "me" generation.
enjoy your wine but don't go overboard. Don't let his ignorance get you off track. God bless.

Sorry for his inconsiderate behavior, some people only think of themselves. Just in case, make sure you wear a mask to make sure that you don’t inadvertently spread it to someone else. Stay safe.

I"m sorry you have to go through that just because someone is being selfish and only thinking of himself. Focus on the people that are doing things right and are helpful. That may take away the sting of a selfish act of that person.

Thanks everyone I have calmed down a little today. I do have to wait until I am symptomatic. He was not wearing a mask😫. Living in a small town we tend to know a lot about our town people. Apparently he has a total disregard for others. The sad thing is he truly is a very nice young man. I don't think he knows or grasps the severity. Possibly because we don't have any other cases in our town and so far only a few in our county. Thanks everyone praying that all your loved ones and yourselves are happy healthy safe and have the things you need
