Can someone please advise what foods I should eat or not during IF. How long should I be fasting for? Meaning a month or every other week? I'm still new to IF, I exercise 5 days a week.

I fast +-4-6 days a week either 18 hours or 16 hours depending on my mood. you should try break a fast with something higher in protein or fats rather than fibre, it's just easier on your system. I'll sometimes have a few pieces of ham or biltong or a slice of cheese half an hour before my first main meal. but fasting is really flexible. only major rule I abide by is zero calorie intake during the fasted period, so don't cheat with sugar and milk in your coffee... it breaks the fast. other than that,eat what your body reacts well to. I don't follow keto, but I have a bad reaction to foods with wheat and gluten so I keep that to a minimum. if a fasting window is seeming too long and you're watching your clock, break your fast a bit early it's not the end of the world. sometimes I manage 18 hours and other days I can't get to 13. there are benefits of fasting that go beyond just weight loss and these can be achieved from doing short fasts as well. since I started practicing fasting as a lifestyle in October 2018 I have all but stopped having migrains and used to really struggle with them . that's actually why I continue fasting on a regular basis. I couldn't bare the thought of living on migril/adcodol cocktails again
