Journal de dmstewy, 03 oct. 13

No grandkids tonight. Their dad didn't have to work. I still took my walk which in the past In I would have found 101 excuses not to do. In fact, I ran about 1/2 mile and finished 2.5 miles in just under 40 minutes. That's pretty good for me. Food today was good until dinner. No grandkids = hubby not cooking. But, i journaled my food which i just would not have done in the past. Over all, a great day. If the rain holds off, i may go for a quick bike ride.

Enjoy the evening.

Go Girlfriend, Go Girlfriend~ Your doing a awesome job and I am so proud of you. I know it is difficult to get and stay motivated, that is a huge accomplishment. Running and walking, WOW~rock that with 2.5 miles in 40 minutes. I read once that interval training is really good. I use that theory when I use the elliptical at the gym as a way to build up my ability to handle that machine. I do 2 minute intervals between kicking up my speed and then slowing. I increase my time each time I use it by 5 minutes. Soon I hope that I can own it! Good job on the journal. I believe if we eat it, write it~it helps and keeps us successful. Keep up the good work. What kind of plans do you have this weekend? Mine is working. That is okay though~making cruise money!!!!

Thank you MWell, but I really owe the credit to Phyllisgreen. She's very inspiring to me right now. She makes me realize that its all worth it. Set a small attainable goal and then set out to attain it. Easy peasy - ha! But its the only way for me to be successful right now as I cannot seem to get my scale to budge. If you like to be buddies, send me a request. My motto, United we lose, Divided we Don't.

Thanks Phyllis. No kids again tonight, they are going to their other grandma's. Sometimes its nice to have the break, as I'm then able to get a better work out in. Tonight I will see if hubby wants to hit the gym with me. If not, I will walk/run again outside weather permitting. I prefer to be outside but Michigan weather is starting to change so I won't have many more opportunities and then it will be the gym all winter long. Hubby is only good for a mile of walking but he doesn't mind sitting down and people watching while I finish up. Tomorrow is work around the house - cleaning, laundry, flower beds, etc. and then tomorrow night is my first "social challenge" of October - the Mustang Club annual banquet. I have a plan which is to wear high heels which are uncomfortable so I will only want to hit the buffet once! Hubby will be under strict orders NOT to bring me any food. Gym in the morning so I won't need to worry about steps! Odd plan I know but it will work for me. Sunday we will go to step-grandson's soccer game and then some shopping/walking at the mall. Tonight after the gym, I am going to plant myself in front of the TV to watch my beloved Tigers beat the Oakland's A's A - ha, that's funny. Do you have Honey Crisp apples in FLorida? They are my passion right now - sweet, crispy little nuggets of yummyness! Love you. D

Oh, Honey Crisp Michigan apples~how I love you. I don't think so. I miss fruits and vegetables from Michigan. I can still taste those ever so delicious, scrumptious tomatoes from my visit in August. I close my eyes and go to a very happy place! Good plan for the weekend. Be prepared, schedule your exercise like you do your other commitments and then cruise into success~ Journal, Journal too. Love you girl, I know this is your month. Keep up the good work, stayed focused and when tempted think of your sexy butt, dancing on the dance floor under disco lights and disco ball with a drink in one hand, as we shake out booties on board the ocean liner, to the tune of "Super Freak"...I like that vision.

Yes I see that Phyllis is very motivational and we are in the same boat when it comes to loving apples. I get you on all counts, from where I sit sometimes it is really hard to get up and do it but one day at a time seems to work.
