There is snow and it's drifting around, some patches of the ground can be seen here through an inch of snow because it's blowing around everywhere and still windy out. They did get 15 to 20 inches in the Berkshire Mountains nearby and also closer to the shore. The dog went out and loves the snow... I'm having chicken and vegetables for lunch. I need to go to the store today and have a bit of a migraine so will do my book editing once I feel a bit better...

The talking heads are making it sound like a disaster area up there but, I'm sure that you are all used to it. Have good day Glenn.

Some areas got hit really badly info, but we're close enough to the ocean (eighty miles south and one hundred east) that this area is always well-prepared for snow. The Berkshires got hit pretty bad, it's OK here - no school because of the holiday so fortunately, at least here we dodged the bullet! Have a great day info!

It turns out we got two to four inches of snow in the Connecticut River Valley of western Massachusetts (AKA the Pioneer Valley, much more not far to the east or in the Berkshire Mountains to the west. I went to the store and got some cedar wood to keep the moths in our building out of my closets and cabinets... the final edit of the first book is 1/6 done, I should be done with it in a few weeks and then it will be onto the second book, which I will be much more careful with so I only have to do it one more time; and its half the length of the first book so should take much less time and hopefully both will be done by the beginning of February...

Hi GlennM, what kind of books do you write? I love to read, and I like a variety of stories. Hope your migraine is better. My mama used to have them and she had to stay in a dark room and tie something tight around her head. .......Bren

Hi Bren - I have written a colonial frontier novel set here in New England in the late 1600s to early 1700s, it is historical fiction. Then there is another - the second is set a bit earlier primarily in the New World of North America. A third book is done - first draft - and it is a 600 page western that needs a lot of work. I have also written nine short stories or so that are science fiction/fantasy fiction. I have to type them into the computer. Also, two other fantasy-type books are started, one will be the first of a trilogy - so there are six books I'm aiming at having completed by the end of next year. I have been writing since young, but had a breakdown that set me back, but interestingly enough it has turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it has given me a very creative imagination that I might not have to the same degree had I not had the breakdown... Thanks for asking!

added note Bren - the migraine is gone, it wasn't a bad one so caffeine helped a lot. I didn't even have to take a migraine pill today, I try to rest if I have one - Imitrex helps immensely and the V.A. hospital started covering it. Sometimes I just need more rest than other times...

Thanks for answering my questions, I would love to read your books sounds very interesting. So glad your migraine is gone. I know they can be very painful. Where can I find your books?

Bren - I am not published yet. I need to get a literary agent, then an editor hired by a publisher will review my book(s). That process can take over a year per book. I hope to get some sort of publishing deal in the year ahead, and if I do get published will have lots of work for submission right away as a back-up in case, say the first book doesn't take off right away. Some of the stuff may be able to be sold for movie rights, I'm hoping. I would just like to have a large loft-style apartment to live in and I will be fine, that is my goal for now...

Hi Lisa - I am up early and feel OK this morning, I had chicken yesterday - no leftovers. I do eat them but have friends who won't - probably something learned from one of their parents; I heard in Europe one from there never takes home extra food from a restaurant - I go back to work this weekend on nights, thanks Bren for the kind words... :)
