Started last week off with such a bang but this week I am really struggling! It has been a whole day of me trying to justify to myself why it is ok to not go to Yoga tonight or have a little bad snack. Decided I should be more safe and stay home because of Covid but will go for a run to ensure I'm staying home because of Covid and not because I am just too lazy to go to Yoga!

Think Covid has just got me down and demotivated as you have nothing to look forward to anymore. My birthday is in a month and on one hand I want to plan something but on the other hand I want to be responsible and stay home. Makes food and sweets an easy joy in life to escape to!

I hope everyone is as safe as they can be and much more motivated than me today🌸

aw birthday in time of plague so depressing, but there's a month to prep. if u are privileged enough to be able to work from home then select one or two buddies who are too and invite them to come for dinner but only on the provisor they can isolate for a week and a half before and u do too. ie no going anywhere including shopping (which requires u schedule meal in advance: enter freezer. u can cook when in a good mood so no accidental treats only planned ones) Then u can hangout with impunity. If not, then remind friends its ur birthday and pick a day off (if ur birthday falls on a work day) for people to take a distanced turn with u around the block, maybe schedule them like a dance card: should follow the metaphor of taking a turn round the block/room like a regency ball. Then u might be able to connect individually with people who might otherwise be lost in a social event if we were living ordinary times. Also u might be well exhausted by the end u will fall into bed and not have post party, getting older angst which might lead to inadvertent treat snacking.

Check out Sydney Cummings on YouTube. She provides daily, high quality workouts for free. And I assure you, she’ll have looking forward to working out 🤷🏽‍♀️sounds crazy I know but just check her out! Oh and she’s so inspiring, she’s like a daily dose of wisdom and motivation. I quit gym to train at home with her! All the best 🙌🏾

Have you tried doing Sun Salutations-A at home? Fast for cardio and slow for strength and toning, 12 rounds daily? You will never again feel guilty about not going to a Yoga class. Easy, fast, effective and in a safe space (home). Good luck!

I find that I need a snack at about 11 and again at 3, so I have been eating protein bars. I started on Herbalife, but have tried several others. I have even made my own Peanut Butter protein bars. With those I have 1/2 bar first and then see how long it will last for. If needs be, I then have the 2nd one a bit later. If I don't have those snacks, my blood sugar drops and then I eat a ton of stuff. If you want the recipe for the peanut butter protein bars, drop me a mail - timbergnome@gmail.com
