A beautiful day in Southern Ontario(rural Guelph), -5 degrees C with a wind chill of -12. Coming from Northern Ontario I learned not to fight winter but to join it. So today I decided to do some snow shoeing in the back fields for exercise, first time in four years. Saw a lot of coyote and deer tracks and no other humans, great! Covered a little over two miles and at 79 years I can still do it. It took me almost one hour so I must be slowing down some. Anyway I hope I burnt off a few calories. I shall do it again tomorrow now that I have flattened a trail.
