I can barely walk today!!!! Each step is pure torture! Going up and down my steps... forget about it! i had to kind of slide and hop down the steps like an injured seal!! Whimpering like an injured puppy with each step. I had to go to the bathroom and almost peed my pants by the time I got down stairs!
I did a kettlebell workout yesterday and it included very deep squats (I dont cheat on my squats! Gotta get low or why bother!) well today I am seeing the results... I feel like I got jumped by a group of people... My leg muscles are sooooo sore. Thickgurl... You warned me Id be sore but geez. I guess I have not been using those muscles in awhile. Thats ok because it was sooooo worth it! this morning I weighed myself and I am down another pound. Woo hoo!!!! Im gonna try it again today... That is after I go buy and put on a ton of bengay muscle rub ;). I hope you are all having a gret day! (((Hugs)))))

Oh yeah, squats can leave you feeling tortured, especially getting on and off the toilet lol. I feel ya, it gets better though. The burn means its working!! lol :-)

Go easy, give your muscles a day to regrow the damage. Building muscle goes like this: a workout makes little injuries in your muscles which trigger new growth adding a bit more muscle each time but you need to give them a day off to heal and grow those new muscle cells.

I am so getting some of these kettlebells. They aren't as popular here in the UK but I am hearing more and more about them. I suppose you need a dvd or something to show you how to use them? Talking of aching muscles, I did a 3 mile walk on Friday and Im STILL feeling the pain. How walking can hurt your shoulders AND backside I don't know. May have to look at my technique LOL

They have kettle balls at the gym. I've been watching how people use them. interesting as everyone seems to use them differently.

Lisaappleton, there are many free exercise workouts on youtube. The one I just did was on youtube search "fitnessblender kettlebell". This was referred to me by thickgurl and its a nice workout, not too difficult, but the squats... You will feel them the next day! Especially if you go nice and low so you can feel your thigh muscles shaking! I want to look around youtube and find some other challenging workouts with kettlebells.... Maybe one with music or more upbeat, and a countdown clock so I can know how much long I have to endure the torture!

checked the fitnessblender kettlbells for beginners. Ummm....theres no way would I be able to do that yet. Not a hope. I was done at the threading in and out of the legs lol
