Journal de Julie Nims, 24 févr. 14

WOW has this week been a DISASTER. I have basically been off the bandwagon since the 13th. First lets talk Valentines day.. I tried so hard but when your husband gives you chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries and then your mom bakes you cookies... there is no more will power. I don't want to transfer the burden of my weight loss efforts to them and tell them no thank you when they went out and did such touching things for me. How about we just do no more food holidays for awhile?!

On another note, for anyone who read my bio or my first post, you will know that I live over 200 miles from my family and my husband. I am currently finishing up my last years of college and our hometown has a phenomenally better job market then where I live for my husband to be able to make a living. This means that every other weekend I am making the drive to see them all. I have found that my diet goes out the window when I visit. Its difficult because I am not on my regular routine, I don't have my own kitchen (I am normally staying at my mother-in-laws) and my husband and I are always on the go up there, birthday parties, sporting events, so and so had a baby, etc. It gets VERY hard to stick to my plan.

I am also struggling with being 22 and being on this plan. As you may realize a 22 year old living in a large college town... we go out! Whether its to a couple college bars, to a social get together, or if its a night downtown. On my first outing I tried my best to stick to diet coke.. and I did for about 2 hours, but then the delicious fruity cocktails called my name. I don't usually go out often but over the last 2 weeks I've been out 3 times. Meaning 3 days off the plan (Atkins is 0 alcohol in the first phase).

This week with renewed energy I am trying to get my whole life back in gear. I am starting with getting back on Atkins, exercising, and getting some work done around this house. All of this might be possible now that the Olympics are over as well!!

Thanks for all the support guys! Add me as a friend if you'd like to chat.

The most important part is to get back on the wagon and try again! You can do it!
