Had two huge victories this morning, one anticipated and one unexpected. As I did my weight lifting workout last night, I was laying on the hassock after doing a few hundred crunches to wrap it up. I was wearing size 36 jeans and I was able to fit my fists between my reclining stomach and the waist of the jeans. I thought to myself that it was time to see if I could go and try on a pair of 34s... Hit Target this morning and sure enough, fit into 34 waist jeans snugly but comfortably. Awesome! Grabbed three pair and some other clothes while I was there. They had a clearance on sweatshirts for $3.87 each! I grabbed three in Large (no more XL or above for me!) Bought some workout clothes, too.
Got home and did my hour on the treadmill. Burned 880 calories at the end of my 16:8 fast, but I was hoping to get to about 210 or 211. That's because my waking weigh in this morning was 212.4... my happy hour weight from Thursday night was still hanging around. But after my workout and shower, I jumped on the good old Tanita... the number was 208.0! That's an all time low, folks. The lowest I'd ever gotten even on the old sliding doctor's scale was 208.5 before Thanksgiving. A 208 flat on the Tanita is something between 205 and 206 on the other scale. This is the first time that the Tanita weight has ever gone lower than my previous best on the other scale. So, will find someone nice to donate that scale to (in addition to three pairs of worn but nice 38 waist jeans!)
Enjoying breakfast of turkey chops and looking forward to going out with our friends to a Medieval Madness restaurant tonight in Alexandria, Virginia. It's cool... the servers all stay in character and dress. The King and Queen attend and it's like you are in their court. There is singing and dancing in addition to lots of beer, wine, and epicurean delights. Super fun.
