Eggs are pretty close! Hard boiled, scrambled... Beef jerky is great, too (but meat)

I eat lots of beans, lentils, tofu, seeds, some nuts. They are all except soy incomplete proteins however eating complementary foods during the day result in complete proteins. They WILL increase your carbs. Since I don't eat a primarily meat based diet low carb doesn't work for me.

(Silent Scream) ... watch the "requirements". Most folk get too much protein and in the States the SAD is protein rich; recommended daily requirement being 46 grams per day for women, over that is "overkill". Beans and rice is a great combination of low calorie and virtually all of the required nutrients. As the greeting in China says "Have you had your rice today?" (That being said instead of "how are you?")

Never tried making almond milk. I buy which ever non flavored and non sweetened organic one that I find on sale. I don't have a good source for almonds and I have to draw a line on what I make, since I do make most things from scratch. Almond milk is readily available, just like I buy tofu. On that if I want fresh tofu I know a store that always has it and it is really good or mostly I buy extra firm cause it's handy.

Yes I do make my own bread usually whole grain with a main flour is a stone ground whole wheat grown in Iowa. I do use brown sugar in bread because it develops a lighter bread, without it it's dense. Sweetener I don't use much, mostly a little in tea. Switching away from splenda as I use it up, have been using stevia at work. I don't know what BCAA is will look it up, but I do take vitamin d3, a multivitamin, a mix of calcium, zinc, and magnesium, and fish oil. I'm not a vegetarian but simply don't eat a lot of meat, so many of my meals have no meat and I sometimes have to remember I should add some fish here and there. I also eat cheese sparingly now due to the fat content. I do though now splurge on really good cheese that adds tremendous flavor.

Looked up BCAA don't think I would take them. I get more than enough protein. They are for trauma and burn victims and used to protect gastric bypass patients from diabetes. Guess they sell supplements for body building.
Just paying some attention to complementary proteins is all I need.

Gelatin is primarily made from hooves of animals. Always makes me wonder if that is a part of an animal I really want to eat. Just sayin.
