Something wonderful happened last night. I walked away from the pantry. I told myself it wasn't worth it, and went straight to bed. Hope this is the start of something...at least I can pray that it is. Got up and did my T25 this morning and I felt so much stronger getting through today's workout than I have in the last 3 weeks. Maybe there is something to this whole being consistent thing!!!

Good friend you are building up the will power to tell yourself no. Keep it up if only i could start exercising more.

Isn't a great feeling to dictate what you will and won't let your body do?!?! It's a very powerful thing to know that you can take your mind (and life) back. Give yourself major credit for that! Whoop-whoop!

Thanks you guys. @tjreid175-it's just like me at the pantry, just need to do it and then all of a sudden it will become a habit. I'm certainly hoping this was a habit that will continue on for me. It was definitely an empowering feeling knowing that I could say "no." It seems like such a simple concept, but when it's something that has been ingrained in me for so long, it's not.

Way to go! What helps me with snacking.. I made a poster, with the actor that Played Al on Home Improvement.. with this saying on it "Is that snack worth working on the treadmill for? 'I DON'T THINK SO!'"-- Just reminds me how much food "costs" in way of calories, and how hard it is to take the calories off...

keep up the good work. My biggest problem is I know you should eat after 7 or 8 but that's about the time I get home from work. I'm been trying to have my dinner just before I leave work at 6. I'm hoping that change will help.

Congrats! I've taken a different approach with evening snacking. I've tried (unsuccessfully) many MANY times to quit. Over the past few months, I've given in to it in a better way. Better for me anyway ;-) I plan snacks into my calorie allowance and plan exactly what I'm going to have. Then I prepare it and have it ready. Most evenings it's some fruit, sometimes a small scoop of ice cream or a single serving of whatever cookies are open. In my mind, I have something to look forward to rather than thinking I'm going to have to do battle with myself all evening.
