Today is a HARD day for me! I just took my son to daycare for the first time EVER! Man, I don't know if I can make it through this day. The daycare center has internet access which is NOT a good thing when they are starting out. I just keep watching him and can't stop. Poor little man. He is just standing there crying and crying and wiping his little tears, and crying some more. He has been standing in the same spot for 15 minutes just crying. There are 3 teachers in the classroom and they just keep walking by him. I just want to say "HUG HIM!!" "love HIM!!" don't just pretend he is not there! He probably feels so abandoned and lonely. I have to stop watching! He was sitting at the table eating his breakfast and a little boy walked by, took his cup of milk and dumped it on his food. Poor little guy. He just looked at the boy like "what the @#$%%!" And then walked away. I think he was done eating though, but still. OK. I really have to quit watching.
Women's retreat: Well, no juicy details there. It was pretty good. Not something I want to do again. But it was ok. Lots of time with the mother in law. But not too bad.
Weight: I am down a 2 lbs for the week. I was down 3 but gained one back over the weekend.
Work: Today I go to the nursing home to let the nurses show me how to care for grandma. How to help her up, different exercises to do with her, ect.. She gets releases on Friday. The guys came today to start building on the addition to our house. So, hopefully it will be done is 2 or 3 weeks if the weather is good to us.
That's about it. I am going to TRY to enjoy my week with no children during the day, and do some things for myself. We'll see!

2 lbs is great. Daycare is hard. I remember those days. No one takes care of your children like you do. Try to enjoy the time you have and do something for yourself. Thank you for your kind words

Awwww poor baby. I know that had to be extremely tough on you. It will get better over time. I bet watching him on the internet just makes it worse. That's a cool thing though. At least you know he's alive and well even if he is a tad bit miserable without mommy. Congrats on the 2 lb loss!

Oh my... I will never forget giving Syd off to my sis in law at 4 mos old... crying my eyes out off and on all day long and even a bit the next day. Thankfully, since I only worked 2 days per week, it was "doable" after the initial starting point. It will get better, over time. Oh my, I'm not sure I could take the monitoring system, I'd never gotten any work done! lol You are doing so wonderfully with the losing again! GREAT JOB! Good to see the awesome drops for you! Good luck w/the addition of your house and working w/the nurses. I've not been here much to keep up, but it sounds like you'll be extra busy! Keep up the great work!

Nice job on the weight! Yeah, I remember those first days of kindergarten. I think it's tougher on the parents than on the kids.

poor thing! its really hard dropping off the kids that first time...he will get used to it soon though. dont worry, he'll pay that little boy back somehow... ;)

Update: He ended up having a great day. By lunch all was well. He played and played. and when i got there to pick him up, he ran up to me, said "hey mama!!" And then went right back to the playground. So that was very comforting!! And he said he wanted to go back tomorrow. We'll see how tomorrow goes! Fingers crossed.

Ahhhh. Your remarks about your little boy really tugged at my heart strings! At the end of his "school day," he will run into your arms where you can swoop him up in a great big "Mom Hug." He will say "Mommy!" Sigh! Well. I have to tell you I am disappointed that you have no juicy mother-in-law details to share. I am certain something will come out eventually. Great job on the loss this week. You rock the Fat Secret World!
