I didn't know what La Chancia is, so I looked it up. I love them too, but then I saw something that caused me to look it up on YouTube. OMG! The La Chancia videos are so funny! They made my day. There's even a La Chancia song.

I knew I was getting fatter when I couldn't comfortably zip up my knee high boots 😒👢I got pretty excited when they fit again and I had to tighten the straps on my slingback sandles! 

Oh that’s right Sherry, I did struggle with my boots last few years and I ended up wearing running shoes and such. Not sexy. I can’t wait to try the boots on this winter. Thank you for the reminder!  

Mermee, I am a lowly, lowly staff nurse. We are forced to wear boring navy scrubs all day, and that’s why we try to have fun with our colorful footwear. It’s our revenge. We didn’t get any gifts for the Nurses Week this year! Last year I got a pack of gum and stale, left-over Halloween candies for the nurses week. True story. On my days off I sometimes wear those clogs when I have a boho skirt on. Sorry, I’m not really a fashion guru you are looking for 🤣🤣 

Yup...nice that it has happened to you...means progress.

Yep some hospitals do not allow clogs. Administration loves to take our dignity away… but I love what I do. Nursing humbles me, I am most grateful for the privilege of caring for dying patients. Thank you for the kind words Mermee.  

YF. I've got ultimate respect for nurses! My daughter is one and has worked many years in the ICU. She is a hero. I have a button that says, "My daughter's a nurse. What's your superpower?"

Dr Gastropod, patients are the real heroes and I am grateful for everything they taught me. My life was enriched by their courage. Your daughter has probably told you the same thing. This profession humbles us. The button you have is really cool though! Thank you for the thoughtful words; the pandemic was exhausting and we appreciate your kindness.

Can you run 3 flights of stairs to respond to a code when the power went down with your clogs on? Neither could I and I ditched them in the stairwell and NEVER wore them to work again. Funky good, expensive sneakers from then on. 

😁😆 Just so you know it makes a big difference when you’re already a size 10 shoe! 👟🤣 

Ultimate respect to nurses. Personal experiences with nurses and friends who are nurses makes me respect them even more. ❤ Yay you on your NSVs! 

Kenna: yes I can without difficulty. Have you seen Japanese traditional wooden sandals? I can run in those too. I have no clue why you think you couldn’t.
