MORE UNCONSCIOUS SNACK EATING- NUTS😲
I just checked my other snack, a 1 kg bag of unsalted Trail Mix (mixed nuts, seeds & raisins) bought Sep 17, 2021. The 1000g package has suggested serving size 1/3 cup (50g) = 270 calories

I just weighed what is left in the bag. 431 g remains uneaten as of noon on Sep 25. Therefore 569g eaten.

I had accounted for 275g as recorded in food journal as follows:
Sep 17, 2021 Snack 1/6 cup (25g) = 135 calories
Sep 18, 2021 Lunch 1/3 cup (50g) = 270 calories
Sep 21, 2021 Snack 1/3 cup (50g) = 270 calories
Sep 22, 2021 Snack 1/6 cup (25g) = 135 calories
Sep 23, 2021 Breakfast 1/6 cup (25g) = 135 calories
Sep 23, 2021 Snack 1/3 cup (50g) = 270 calories
Sep 25, 2021 Breakfast 1/3 cup (50g) = 270 calories
TOTAL RECORDED = 1 5/6 cup (275g) = 1485 calories

TOTAL UNRECORDED = 294g = 1588 calories😲 (Again eaten unconsciously as I passed in and out of kitchen, grabbing a few nuts from counter, each time.)
So I have just added it to food journal, spread out over 8 previous days as a snack 294/8=37g per day.

Some may think I wasted my Saturday morning, figuring this out. But if I hadn't, I would have been none the wiser, and continued with the unconscious snack grazing problem. If you can't be honest with your self, anonymously, how can anyone expect to be believed by others, when is comes to diet efforts, and struggles battling obesity.

I agree with you 100%. I feel like this “unconscious” snacking can trap most of us real quick. I really don’t get it how some people claim that to eat intuitively works. But I guess some people just naturally once feeling full they are satisfied, and works for them. For me, it’s a big no. If I were to eat till I’m satisfied, I’m pretty sure I’d reach 3000kcal real quick. Maybe cos I crave high calorie foods, like chocolate, nuts, crackers… if I start, and eat without counting, oh boy!!!!! I get obese in less than a year.
