Can’t or won’t eat most vegetables? You are so right about retaining not only how we eat but how we view food and our relationship with food.

Well Lowkeylife, I actually can't eat most vegetables. I have tried repeatedly over the years to eat the ones I dislike but no luck. Both flavor and texture bother me to the point that I gag or feel physically ill.

When I first started my journey, there was a lot of veggies I refused to eat. Lots of them were a texture thing. I just forced myself to get past it. It wasn't easy, and it took a while to work though those issues. I hated tomatoes. I started with cherry tomatoes I would literally hold it in my cheek for I dunno how long hyping myself up to bite into it.

You might enjoy Dr. Ken Berry's carnivore diet. You can find him on YouTube. Not only does he say that you don't need to eat vegetables, he also says they may actually be detrimental to health. Many are associated with inflammation. So, no more "I hate vegetables" guilt!

I’m picky too, but you can do this! One day, one meal at a time! Try new things sometimes your taste buds change. I like a lot of things now I hated five years ago lol

Same! The first 4 days were really hard for me. I thought about food all day even when I was eating a meal I was thinking about the next. Taking the meal suppressants helped a lot & keeping busy.
I went to the gym for an hour or ran outside for 30 min ea day. I worked between 6-8 hours and deleted social media (it’s a must) and isolated myself with a good Netflix show.
It’s been a week and I’m down 6# and counting!! I feel great and I’m so proud of myself! I allowed myself low cal/ low fat snack options 1-2 x a day so that I wouldn’t binge and that really saved me. Although I didn’t stick to the diet 100%, I stayed between 8-1400 calories with my protein percent being between 35-55% for macros.
I thought nothing would work for me but If I can do it, u can! Positive vibes 🙏💛

Welcome! I can't really eat onions & most peppers, but I've found other vegetables that I enjoy. I've developed a fondness for Kale that I NEVER thought I'd like - of course, it's in a salad with dried cranberries & lemon poppyseed dressing, but hey, I'm eating it! Fruit is also a good option, I try to have 2 servings a day. Anyway, love your photo of Baby Yoda, I'm quite a fan myself!
