Ouch! Today's weigh-in hurts! Last night's birthday celebration dealt me a temporary set back but I'm back on track today. I found just how difficult it is to add everything some restaurants add to the meals (sauces, etc.). Although I did order grilled fish, the sauce was very salty, so hopefully today's weight gain is due to extra sodium. At least I stayed away from any kind of dessert and tried to go light on the carbs! ;) Have a great day FS buddies.

Unfortunately ocean fishes are high in sodium as well and many restaurants use canned veggies (if they have a website with nutrition information that can help).

Restaurants normally add more sodium, butter, and msg to enhance the flavors. All of which keeps their customers coming back. No matter what their official sites say, the individual restaurant "chefs" add a little extra. Always a crap shoot when you are eating out. Drinking lots of liquids (read water) to flush out the sodium helps :) Planning to limit eating before and after an outing also helps. Enjoy life, just plan for the possible setbacks.
