Yesterday went fairly well. Was at the hospital all day, had a bag of pretzels out of the vending machine, and one chicken finger. Then for dinner i just had a big caesar salad made at home. Yum! So that was ok. Riley had a softball game(I walked 2 miles before the game started) that seemed to never end, but once it finally did she celebrated the end of the season of softball for her, forever! lol. She did not enjoy it and was counting the day until it ended. We made her finish the season, b/c i feel if she starts something, she has to finish it. So, now she's done. She is at cheerleading camp this week during the day, and horse camp next week. So excited. My little horse lover. This is a dream come true for her.
As most of you, we have been building onto our house so that my husband's grandmother could move in with us and have her own space. She moved in about 3 weeks ago and has been doing good. Then last week she got sent to the hospital, really sick. They kept her 7 days, and sent her home last night. They wanted her to go to a rehab center for a couple weeks, b/c she is so weak. But the center had no available beds. So now she is home. She can't stand up alone, it took 2 of us to get her up and to her bed last night. Not sure how I am going to manage this today, but as always, we will find a way. Her doctor said he has done all he can do for her medically. She is just 90 years old and her body is wearing down. There was even talk of hospice, just to prepare us that it could get to that sooner than later. Its amazing how quickly you can get attached to someone. Just a couple months ago she was an acquantance almost b/c we saw her so rarely. Now I feel like she is MY grandmother and has been all my life. It is really sad. We just have to take advantage of the time we have left.
Ok. Well, on a lighter note, my scale is moving again, in the right direction! 4th of July....Here i come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I hope i can lose 7 lbs by then. I think i can , i think i can!!!
