Hello friends!
I need some advice…
I’m preparing an end of module assignment so I will spend a lot of time sitting down in front of the screen the next two weeks.
But
When I do this that’s when the little evil on my shoulder starts to whisper…
To clear my head, let’s have some cake with my tea …..
next time when I stand up to rest I’m looking for snacks again
And by meal time I’m more hungry than usual.
So I’m looking for snack pr other ideas that can satisfy the evil on my shoulder and shut it up so I can get back to my studies without eating a big slice of cake and a white magnum (with my unsweetened black tea 😂

Maybe drink more tea to fill you up? I'm afraid the only way I can keep myself away from cakes, icecreams etc. is to banish them from the house.

This became a real problem when I first started working from home during lockdown. I agree with Bear, banish unhealthy snacks if you can. Also 1) Eat a good breakfast and a good lunch so you are not actually hungry. 2) Snacks that work for me and take the edge of my cravings are flavoured rice cakes, apples or oranges (chopped up - somehow that feels like more of a treat) and if I think I'm particularly hungry or craving something sweet, a small protein shake. Good luck with your assigment pp! 🙂

Maybe you could try to find a really low calorie hot chocolate drink so when you have a craving for cake or ice-cream you can have a sweet, chocolatey fix for far less calories instead? Or sometimes low fat yoghurt with a small amount of chocolate like half a Cadbury Twirl or Peppermint Aero broken up into it does the trick for me - and it can be bulked out with fruit like grapes or strawberries. I've also recently bought some Cadbury Mini Rolls - they're only 120 calories each so that's ok if you're able to stop at one. Also best to keep all of these 'out of sight - out of mind' - until you 'need' them. Good luck!

I think your ‘little evils’ twin lives on my shoulder. I try not to buy snacks to keep in if I’m WFH. If I want then I must walk to purchase them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi you're doing really well. I would suggest low cal hot chocolate or dark chocolate. I have found the new vegan options hot chocolate a blessing. I can't take milk so the new vegan one is great. A mug of that and I'm happy. Also the 85% dark chocolate I find is great. I buy the Aldi one it comes in a pack of mini bars, so less tempting to eat it all. Half of one small bar is enough to calm my cravings. I find it best to let it melt in your mouth, it feels like a real treat!
