Succeeded in consuming less than 1200 calories yesterday, one half of what my BMI says is my daily goal. Did not walk or exercise at all. Why do I hate it so?

I am exercise averse. I have never liked it. Except for one year when I ran track in high school, I have never, in 68 years, maintained a regular (two days back to back) exercise regimen. I own an exercise bike, a portable step machine, two pairs of barbells, and a door bar for doing situps. They just sit there collecting dust. I also have a half-dozen dancercize, yoga, and tai chi DVDs. Never looked at them or used them. So I, perhaps like a lot of people, have spent a lifetime as a sendentary person. If I am to lose weight, it will be through lowering my calorie intake. While I know full well that I also need to burn calories, I don't realistically see that happening anytime soon. 'Tis the way it is. I accept it.
