I'm trying very hard to stay consistant, but my weight keeps yo-yoing up and down. I lose 1&1/2 pounds, then I gain a pound then lose a 1/2 pound then gain then lose 1&1/2 pounds and start the cycle again. Is this normal? I lost quickly at the beginning, but this is getting irritating. Oh well, guess I'll just keep at it.

Delete white bread. Read the labels. Whitewheat bread looks like and tastes like white bread. Buy that. It's worth a try! They also make hamburger buns and hotdog buns.... only 100 calories per bun instead of many more calories (130-280 calories for other brands). Whaddyathink?

For breakfast, try a croissant purchased from refrigerated section plus 1/2 teaspoon of light butter per side plus real fruit jam (50 calories per teaspoon) per side and a bottle of water. That should hold you for the AM. Chew s-l-o-w-l-y! Drink the entire bottle of water. Flavor the water if necessary. Notice, the absence of caffeine?

If you weigh in every day, then yes it is normal. As long as your weekly/monthly chart is going down, then you are fine. If you eat too much sodium one day, you may be up on the scale the next. Your body is made up of 60% water, so many things factor in to daily fluctuations. I can fluctuate up to 5 pounds or more i one day. Also, what you eat can also effect the scale. Drink your water (especially in the summer and with exercise) to help. I also think it helps to pick one day as your "official" weigh-in day so you can accurately gauge your weight loss from week to week. Just use the daily weigh-ins to keep you on track. Good luck!
