6/1/11 6pm. Went to ortho this morning. Frustrating experience. xray negative. he thinks it's bursitis so gave lidocaine and cortisone shot right into the bursa--omg! He wouldn't order and mri b/cc he said it wouldn't change his treatment. I think he's wrong--not that I don't have bursitis but I also have bone pain. Probably a hairline fracture as happened 9 years ago with my femur. He seemed surprised that the pain wasn't better immediately after the injection. I can walk without my crutch but not very long. back to ice and ace-bandages. Will skip the ibuprofen for now.
