have u tried the heat pads u stick on ur t shirt? I find them brilliant if I get a backache which I occasionally do, failing that a hot water bottle, I know it's not the weather but if it helps, pain relief too, 2 paracetamol then 2 hrs 2 ibuprofen, u can take them all together but I find it better to split them. hope this helps xx

Maybe the chap at the clinic meant that stress could affect your physical health? For example, people can suffer from muscular or nervous tension? Maybe he just want you to try to relax? Also, could you consider maybe using a tens machine? Everyone's different, but the tens machine has helped me with back pain.

Hi I don't know your age but I suffer from fibromyalgia and back pain i am well into my 60s as well I have neuropathy. I do yoga following a Canadian lady call Sandra she is a yoga teacher specialised for older people or people with difficulties or new to yoga you find her channel on YouTube called Northern Zen Yoga. I tried with others but it hurted badly with her I feel so much better. I stopped for few months due to family issue and moving and again I was in terrible pain started gentle yoga a week
ago and already feeling much better and more energetic. Have a look at at her videos there are some gentle stretching for 30 or 45 mns I find them really helpful 😊 Take care of yourself.

I would recommend light yoga and stretching. If it's your upper back and shoulders them the stress comment from your physio could be right as it could be involuntary tightening of shoulders and back. If you haven't pulled or strained anything then light slow excersise is allows good. Good luck and hope you can sort it out. Keep us updated we're rooting for you!
