😭😱🤯😬. Hard pill to swallow. I am the same weight today as I was 12 months ago. I think I have officially undone all the hard work of the past year. I feel angry with myself for being such a resounding failure. For letting myself down yet again on this weight loss journey. I know what I need to do etc etc. However, I use food as a drug - in good times and bad. So what is the point of self awareness if I can’t break the cycle.

Same weight after an entire year is kind of a goal if you're a foodie like most of us! You go girl! Don't worry about the non-progress, there's always time to knock down those kilos but in the meanwhile you can maintain and stay healthy. 💕😊

Life is a roller coaster, we all know what we need to do, give ourselves excuses not to do what’s good for us, But you did it once you can do it again, focus on the small things as little things agh up, cut out one thing you know is an issue. Hey I don’t know what’s right or wrong but you can make a difference, I lost five stone put it all back on and some, but baby steps

Ah Suma, you are being mindful about your eating, you know yourself and as others have said you have maintained. Don’t be hard on yourself. If you hadn’t made the effort you may well have gained unwanted weight. I just realised I haven’t weighed in 6 months. Talk about head in the sand. Weigh in tomorrow and I will be up up up. But less up than if I hadn’t tried when I could! Xxx

@justbananas, the replacements need time to embed. I’ve been so set in my habits when it comes to food, so I need a plan A, B and C for this to succeed. It’s trying to find the same dopamine hit in something less damaging.

I understand you and it is totally normal. I can not tell you how many times I started again from zero and it is not only about diet and losing weight. It is a normal human process. Just surround yourself with supportive friends, look for guidance and find the proper motivation. And I am sure you will achieve what you want. Sending many prayers 🛐

@Dagher, thank you for reminding me that perfection is overrated. I sometimes do what I call B- work, just to get things done. I need to use the same ethos for health and weight loss.

@Humpty, thank you for reminding me that we aren’t alone in our struggles. Everything you’ve said completely resonates with me. I hope you enjoyed the wine gums and are feeling back to your usual self. I’ve only been to Birmingham a couple of times. I must visit and explore it properly to do it justice🫶🏽.

You can do it. We all get caught in that cycle for sure! I had done Weight Watchers, Nutr-System, Slim-Fast and Sanford Profile over the last 30 years. Always lost the weight but wound come right back and be heavier. Finally this last time I got a trainer and told him all my problems and that I can’t keep it off. I will do the work to get there but cannot maintain. That did the truck I broke my horrible sugar habit, eat non-processed foods the majority of the time and follow a macros plan along with lifting weights 3x a year. Maintaining is hard but my trainer has me turn in a good journal weekly and weigh in. I have finally broke my horrible yo yo pattern but it took me over 35 years. Keep trying and you will find what works for you. 💯💯💯
