....idk what im doing wrong. i just wanna cry.
next weeks goal- eat 1-2 servings fruit with every meal. I hardly eat fruit, except at school Mon-Thurs. This time grocery shopping, I got apples, bananas, cantaloupe, and a pomegranate.
half and half in my coffee is being replaced with oat milk now.

SherryeB- yes they do a menu. Occasionally she will swap out. I can write down what i eat, and input it later in day. I constantly have to remind myself what a normal portion size is, since i have a strong tendency to overeat.

golfmarina- thans a great idea!!! Thanks for sharing! We use small dinner plate sized paper plates at head start, and really need to decrease how much bread i eat at school. That will help.

Different things work for different people, but what has worked for me is figuring up a daily calorie goal for weight loss and sticking to it (at least on week days). I also try to get 1 gram per pound of body weight of protein each day. I’ve also been exercising and trying to build muscle. I let loose on the weekend so I don’t go insane haha.

How is your knee doing havent heard from you in awhile? Alot of these suggestions are great and can work but might not necessarily work for you especially since you are limited in what you can physically do right now so since you can't burn as many calories through exercise and are limited in uour daily movement as well unfortunately you probably need to be more focused on your Intake than somone who is able to burn alot of calories through exercise. That's my last advice lol I know you've been through alot and just want to see you happy and succeed.

Tips: 1. measure or weigh food, takes the guesswork out 2. CICO, use an on-line calculator to find out what your personal calorie deficit is. If you aren’t in a calorie deficit, you won’t lose weight 3. Cut out sugar, processed foods 4. Strength train, go for walks 2-3 Xs weekly

Beware of the oatmeal drink, look at the sugar it carries, take if you can another that is almond lihgt 0.0, soy 0.0, and leave the juices use tea to hydrate you, it works for me since I am practically sedentary, as Tormentaniña says weighs your rations, also as pequeña_mermee eye with the fruit takes a lot of fructose choose well which you take. and above all improve. 👍😊

I found head start monthly menus online, but your best bet is to visit the cafeteria manager and ask about the food. Are the fruit & veggies frozen or canned? Avoid canned at all costs, as it will be empty calories. The entrees will all be processed. There should be fresh fruit available and things like carrot sticks, so in the absence of salad, these items may be your only healthy food served. Luckily, these are Mediterranean Diet friendly, and have plenty of fiber to tide you over till dinner. Also consider ditching the snacks, which is what trips up a lot of dieters, and it's an easy place to cut calories.

Set an hourly timer and drink 8oz each hour. If you can't measure, fill plate with fresh or steamed vegetables without butter. Water and veggies will help fill you and provide nutrients with little calories. With more veggies on the plate, there is less room for high calorie foods. Make sure to eat the veggies first. This should help out a lot when you don't have a scale or know the exact nutrition facts of the food you consume.

all fruit is delicious. love it. so healthy. i try to make most cherries, berries, and cantaloupe when in season
