Down another lb today! Yeah! 227.2! Tomorrow is the day that I record, though, so today I have to be sure and drink all my water and not make bad decisions. Should be okay, I have my meals planned out. Only thing out of the ordinary is going to be a turkey hotdog on a whole grain bun for lunch, 180 calories, (with a cup of veggie soup and some lite yogurt completing the meal). Dinner will be tilapia and veggies. This darned medicine is still keeping me hungry though...I'm keeping it under control so far, but not accustomed to waking up feeling hungry like this.

Yippee!!!! Let's see ... what might the upside of this medication and feeling hunger? I don't know about you ... but there have been many times I have not felt "true" hunger ... for me because I constantly fed myself. Here lately, not due to medication, but still, I have felt hungry at bedtime and first thing in the morning. It is annoying on one level and then again, rather nice!! I can be truly hungry!!! And, while I work to really respect my hunger and feed myself when I am physically hungry, at bedtime I don't want to eat. I can be hungry and not lose control!! This may not apply to you at all. Still, I'm impressed by how well you are doing, how clearly you plan your eating days, and feeling your excitement about your progress!!! YEA for YOU!!!

Yeah, I've noticed that I'm better able to control hunger also, not having to eat whenever it strikes. By controlling portion, and limiting sugars/bad carbs, I also notice I don't have those sugar spikes and drops that would make me incredibly hungry (not to mention extremely sleepy). Strange for me to awaken hungry though, even when I was eating anytime I felt the urge. My oatmeal for breakfast did the trick though. :-) Things are on a much more even keel now (well, they were until this medicine disrupted the balance). I don't like eating at bedtime either...try to have at least a couple of hours between the last time I have a snack and the time I go to bed. Thanks so much for your encouragement!
