I've lost six pounds since I started on this journey. I'm kind of stuck, so I know I need to do something different! Add more exercise and cut back just a bit on calories. I can do it!
When I was younger, I was slender and ran four to six miles a day. Gaining 40 pounds in the last 10 years is discouraging, but it's on me. I let it happen.

Hi Cathy, six pounds in a month is fantastic! Whatever you're doing seems to be working. Why do you say you are stuck? Has it been a few days since you lost anything? I see your last weigh-in was on January 3rd.

Debbie, you're right!!! I guess I started out kind of quickly losing weight and thought (HOPED) it would continue like that. I'm not gaining (again), so all is good. THANKS!

Not to be rude but how old are you? I will be 66 in July and I cant seem to lose more than a few lbs at a time then I gain them back...ughhh

I'm 74, Missy, and for a while, I had bought into the idea that it's impossible to lose weight at my age. Ha! Moves like Jagger, for many years (decades) I did weight/strength training, but I had stopped for several months. I've recently started going back to the gym, and it feels so good!

CathynotKathy, that's great! I too love the weight/strength training! Most of my career was in personal fitness training (from the age of 18 to 65) and then I added myofascial therapy to that (from the age of 35 to 65). I retired 5 years ago to take care of my mom who died of dementia in September this year. I'm coming back to fitness after having had 3 surgeries last year. Wish me luck!

SO happy you are seeing good results. Be patient and focus on the idea this is now your long-term way of eating. Eat what you like and use portion control. I wish you so much luck!
