I did 48 minutes in the gym yesterday. Plus, four days this week I walked at least 15 minutes. It's been a big week for what a friend calls 'body movement' (like me, he doesn't like the word exercise, having been put off it by over-eager and rather bullying teachers in his childhood). This morning I stood on the scale and saw that my weight was down a pound and a half. Now some of this may be due to getting on the scale a bit later in the morning (though this is not the case by any means on every, or even, most weekends). Much of it, I hope, is due to my latest diet -- one heavy on summer squashes, tomatoes, and cucumbers -- finally catching up to me. I've been eating filling meals that are very low in calories and wondering why my weight didn't go down in a commensurate way. Now it has.
If anything, I've been worrying about switching back to smaller meals since I'm going to have to. I'm going to have to get my stomach used to smaller portions at supper again, rather than to the quantities of tomato, cucumber, and squash/zucchini (courgette) I've been eating.
