I'm a 45yr old mom of 5 kids (16yrs thru 2yrs) ... Married to my husband of 19yrs. Had a huge reality check at my recent yearly physical when my labs showed a very elevated cholesterol level as well as my weight gain. Time to face the fact that I've really let myself go, I've let my emotional eating get out of control and have not coped with my stress in healthy ways. I've committed to an intermittent fasting eating routine of 18:6 to help boost some initial weight loss and will eventually switch to 16:8 once healthy habits have been established. I've really enjoyed reading everyone's entries and look forward to following along in all of our weight loss journeys! Here's to getting healthy!! My official starting weight was 215lbs at my doctor appointment back on August 2nd.
