just got back to university this month (my senior year). since classes started last monday, i’ve overhauled my habits. eating cleaner and moving more — i.e. walking to class instead of taking a scooter, which i haven’t done in all of my being here yet. i’ve gone from 1,000-3,000 steps a day to 7,000+, which is huge for me given how out of shape i’ve become. i’m desperate to shed the weight by graduation! more than that, though, i want to improve my quality of life. i want to be able to go outside in summer weather without feeling like i have to cover up, i want to be able to run around with my friends, and i want to feel happy again. i’m doing this alone more or less, but i know i can do it.

i want to accomplish the following:
- moving more, going outside more
- eating better, treating my body right
- kick my (nasty) nicotine habit — addiction runs in my family and i refuse to let it rule my life. i’ve already cut alcohol this past year!
- better spending/money management

i hope i can look back on this next year and smile, diploma in hand and goals realized.
