The ingredients in Morton’s brand Lite Salt (and NuSalt brand) are nearly identical to the active ingredients in the trendy and pricey electrolyte product ‘LMNT’. Here are the ingredients in Lite Salt if you want to compare another product- CONTAINS: SALT, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, CALLCIUM MAGNESIUM CARBONATE, DEXTROSE POTASSIUM Lite Salt also has IODINE for THYROID support- something not found in pure sea salts / pink salts. I love the flavor and texture of Redmon’s sea salt (in my photo) and mix this with Lite Salt whenever I fill my shakers; this mix is what I use everyday for cooking and table seasoning.

Both sodium and glucose facilitate the absorption of water. If you don't have a sports drink you can make your own hydrating drink. Start with 16ounces h2o, add about 1/₁₆ teaspoon salt and a teaspoon of maple syrup. That will give you about 250-milligram sodium and 4-gram carbohydrate solution. There is a specific range for these numbers that is best... your carb shouldn't exceed 4% (above formula is approx 1.5%) and should be in the form of glucose or sucrose. Sodium should be in the range of 180-225mg per 8oz water. Potassium can act as a cotransporter to help sodium utilization as well, 60-75mg per 8oz is good. (source-ROAR by Stacy Sims, PhD)

Yup and just add some magnesium! I use Light Salt daily in water. Chug it and follow with fresh water. I got sick of the salt taste 🤧
