I really hate keeping track of my food intake. But it works!

Seems like I’m not losing anything. But losing weight was not the goal. I wanted off my diabetes meds. My blood sugar is down, my blood pressure is down enough to come off one of my two meds, triglycerides down. Discouraging that I seriously can eat no more than 100 carbs a day to keep my blood sugar in check. I keep thinking I must be getting a few more than that in some way. I have weaned myself from 4 metformin pills down to one a day. My mother has dementia and when I read that sugar is connected to dementia, I freaked. No more sugar for me. I do not use any sugar substitutes either. My body rejects them violently. My one guilty pleasure… dark chocolate over 75%.

I agree with you... it's so much more than just obsessing over a number on a scale. Wow... you do have quite a bit going on. Bless your heart! All we can do each day is the best we can. I know you're doing that so just keep at it. Prayers and positive vibes to you and your family.
